Broken to Beautiful

 by Rod Tucker in Thoughts

A few weeks ago my wife, Anna, took an old jacket that no one would ever want to wear and made a beautiful scarf out of it.  To me this idea was brilliant.

She has taken old cans that anyone normal would throw away in a heartbeat and turned them into lovely pencil holders.  She has made elaborate wall hangings from toilet paper rolls.

I love the way Anna thinks about regular stuff that we might normally toss.  She sees something wonderful and then puts her creativity to work.  Someone else might say she is working with trash, but not Anna.  She sees things for what they truly are, broken but with great potential.

She even started a website about it all:  considergrace.com

I think this is how God sees us, minus the website.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could let him take our messes and turn them into something beautiful?

I bet if we would, He would.

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” – Revelation 21:5
